Copenhagen is the only capital in Europe which is not located in the center of the country, but on its coast, near the bay. The location of the city, since its foundation by Absalon in 1167, not only gives Copenhagen its name, but also determines its destiny for centuries. Sailing, shipbuilding and trade have become major priorities, which in turn form the architectural appearance of the Danish capital. Travelling on the area of three bays and the channels of Copenhagen will help you experience the incredible fascination of “city on the water”.

The canal tour includes: channel Nyhavn and memorable places of H. C. Andersen, Frihavn and Fort "Three Crowns", Longline, the symbol of the Danish capital – sculpture of the Little Mermaid, Amalienborg Palace, the Modern House of Contemporary Performing Arts, islands Nyholmen and Holmen with the new Opera, Masterkranom, battery Siktus and Naval Museum. On the island of Christianshavn - "free city" of Christiania, old merchants' yards, the Church of Christ the Savior and Kristian’s Church. On the coast of the Inner Gulf - library complex "Black Diamond", Europe's oldest brewery and the monument “Golden Lion”. On the Frederiks Channel - National Museum, Gammel Old Beach and Hojbro Square. Finally the route goes to Slotholmen, past the Parliament of the Kingdom of Denmark with the Throne Hall of Queen Margrethe II, Holmens Church and Europe's oldest Stock Exchange.
